1282822 Butanolamine derivatives DRACO AB 1 April 1970 [1 April 1969] 15527/70 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R symbols identical or different and represent H or C 2-5 acyl) and their salts are prepared by reducing a compound of the formula (RSP1/SP symbols identical or different and represent H, alkyl or acyl protecting group containing up to five carbon atoms or mono- or bicyclic aralkyl protecting group containing up to eleven carbon atoms; RSP2/SP represents H or mono- or bicyclic aralkyl protecting group containing up to eleven carbon atoms) and, if necessary, replacing RSP1/SP by H or C 2-5 acyl and RSP2/SP by H, optionally followed by salt formation and/or isomer separation. The starting materials are prepared by standard methods. The above compounds are useful in the treatment of bronchospastic conditions, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
