The method uses powdered slag as an additive in the casting of titanium-alloyed steels in ingot moulds, consisting of 0-29% manganese silicate, 10-15% calcium silicide (CaSi) 0-5% aluminium 16-20% salt petre 10-16% glass, 15-22% lime, 0-8% sand (SiO2) 3-10% Ti corundum slag, 7-12% fluorite, and 3-5% titanium.
