On the roller jacket are spaced, profiled, trapezoidal-shaped recesses. Their depth and width is greatest in the centre of the rollers and decrease evenly towards the roller ends. Because of the material flow in the roller slot and the variations in the relative roller speed due to their geometric formation, the shape of the ribs on the reinforcement rod surface is trapezoidal and convex corresponding to the recess in the roller jacket, so that the maximum forces of the reinforcement rod can be transferred to the concrete surrounding it.
