This is prepared from the eath accruing in tunnel construction which is subjected to a cruching, wet milling, mixing and filtering sequence with a final centrifugal fine grinding homogenising operation. The material is the modified with water or other suitable fineness eath to have a density of 1.6 to 1.7 kg/litre. To this are added friction coefficient enhancing substances such as quartz sand, binders such as cement and setting accelerators such as water glass. The ground material is pref. run into tanks where the final operations and blending is carried out. Two of these are pref. used to provide a continuous supply to the compressed air injector plant. The system makes use of on-site materials doing away with the need for supplied from outside.
