The stitch-forming yarn alternately, sectionally forms wales and then runs straight, so that each thread forms several successive wales which contain the straight-running threads. Specif. the change between mesh-forming and straight-running thread sections may be regular or irregular in the leg sections or at the joints between the leg sections of the netting.
