Combustion of oil-containing sludges - with primary air introduced at adjustable over -pressure at back of burner-tube

In a process for the combustion of pumpable mixtures containing solids, especially of oil-containing sludges, primary and secondary air is used and the mixture is introduced under pressure into the back-end of the burner-tube. For controlling the quantity of flow of the mixture, the primary air is introduced, at adjustable overpressure, at the back-end of the burner-pipe into the flow of the mixture. The oil content of the combustion mixture may be between 50 and 90% of the mixture, the water content between 10 and 40% and the solids content between 0 and 10%.
