[Also in Division C3] Pharmaceutical compositions comprise salts of cinchona alkaloids and natural or synthetic polysaccharide sulphates and an inert carrier. The polysaccharide sulphate is suitably galactane sulphate or carraghenate, galactoglucane sulphate or fercellarane, dextran sulphate or arabogalactane sulphate. The alkaloid is suitably quinine, quinidine, hydroquinidine, quinicine, cinchonicine, hydroquinicine or hydrocinchonicine.
