Moulding can be performed with metallurgical, ceramic, plastic and composite materials, a layer of the mixture being distributed on a flexibly deformable plate. The plate is placed together with the mixture into the bottom of a mould and the bottom part is driven together with the upper part to produce a blank, following which the mould parts are drawn apart and the blank extracted.
