New reserpine derivs. are cpds. of formula (I) and their non-toxic salts: (where R1 and R2 are H or OMe, R3 is 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl or 3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamoyl and R is -CH2CH2CN, -CH2CH2C-NOH-NH2, -(CH2)3NH22, -CH2CH2C-NH-NH2 -(CH2)3-NH-C-NH-NH2, or -(CH2)3-NH-C-NH-NH-NO2). Preparation of (I) is illustrated by following scheme in which represents the molecule of (I) minu the residue R.
