A titanium alloy, which is in contact with a halide solution, which would cause crevice corrosion of unalloyed titanium as established by exposure to synthetic sea water at 392‹ F. for 96 hours, contains Ni 0À1 - 5% or Co 0À3 - 5% or both of these elements in the above ranges. Examples describe alloys containing one of these elements the balance being Ti.
