Awell.. servicing system comprises ,an. under-: water operating and servicing module 16 adapted to be positioned in proximity to at least one underwater well 14 and coupling system 18 for coupling the well to the module for transfer of materials and/Or tools between the module and the well. The module houses the equipment necessary for automatic periodical well servicing, for separation -and flow control of petroleum products, and for providing life support. After the module is secured to base 10, submarine 100 connects guide lines 20 and 19 to guide pins 50 and 23 on the module and well. The well head having sleeves 47 sliding on the guide lines 19 and pins 23, and a connector 41 having sleeves 72 sliding on the guide lines 20 and pins 50 are then lowered. Hydraulic control pod 49, lowered down lines 19, is used to lock . the well head to valve assembly 26 and to. move hydraulic cylinder 62 downwardly on the tree extension .60 and thus, through links 63, to attach connector 41 to a connector on: the module. To compensate .for any misalignment. of the module with respect to. the Well the connector 41 is. flexibly mounted; on links 63 and a link 64, which is carried by sleeve,.61 rotatably mounted on tree extension. 60.
