The fluid is then circulated through the storage and intermediate tanks L, M and the tank B. Compressed air is admitted through valve 1 to drain the fluid to storage tank L. Passive fluid, e.g. water, is then fed through valve 8 to the articles. The passive fluid may also be fed both from above and below. A venting tank U washes the air expelled from tanks B, L.
