1324859 Sensitized photographic silver dyebleach material FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 19 Aug 1970 [20 Aug 1969] 39990/70 Heading G2C A light-sensitive silver halide emulsion contains a dye which is bleached out in the silver-dye bleach process and at least one sensitizing dye of the formula: - wherein R, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are the same or different and represent alkyl, substituted alkyl, allyl, aralkyl, substituted aralkyl or aryl; RSP1/SP is H, alkyl, substituted alkyl or an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain which forms a heterocyclic ring together with the N atom connected to Z 1 ; R 4 is H, alkyl or aryl; m, n and p each represent 1 or 2, d represents 0, 1 or 2; X # represents an anion forming an intramolecular salt when p is 1; and z and z, each represent the non- metallic atoms necessary to complete a 5-or 6- membered heterocyclic ring. The emulsion may also contain in supersensitizing combination with the above sensitizing dye at least one compound of the formula:- (see U.K. Patent Specification no. 1312101) or at least one compound of the formula:- (see U. K. Patent Specification no. 1312101) or a supersensitizing formalin condensate which is a Novolak-type condensate of a hydroxybenzene and formaldehyde (see Specification 1309779). The condensate may have 2 to 5 repeating units and a molecular weight of 300-800.
