Self twisted textured yarn including thermoplastic strand

The thermoplastic filament is heated and false twisted in a zone between two clamping points between which a tension is exerted on the filament, and a second yarn is fed pref. via a displaceable guide at a supply rate greater than that of the filament, so that it self-twists around the filament in the zone between the clamping points. The method is simple and produces a yarn having a good and irregular relief pattern.
