[Also in Division A5] Dental equipment comprises an instrument table 4 rotatably supported on one end of an arm 3 whose other end is pivotably secured to a telescopic support structure 1 so that the table and the arm can be raised and lowered, the support structure being secured to a dental chair which can also be raised and lowered and can be converted to support a patient in either a seated or a lying position. As shown, the arm supporting the table is in two parts 2, 3 hinged together and the table may be positioned adjacent both a seated or a reclining patient. It is stated that the movements of the telescopic structure 1 may be effected by an electric motor 5 or a cylinder of gas under pressure.
