Developers for two component diazotype materials comprise mono, di-or tri ethanolamine, di or tri-propandamine, 2 or 4-amino pyridine, 1, 2-dimorpholino-ethane, N, NSP1/SP -di-(#-hydroxyethyl)-piperazine or an alkali metal salt of a carboxylic acid and a solvent which is formamide, a mono- or di-alkyl formamide, pyrrolidene, a substituted pyrrolidene, ethylene carbonate, sulpholane, gamma butyrolactone, or dimethyl sulphoxide. For one component materials the developer may comprise alkali metal salts of any weak acid of K lower than 2 x 10SP-4/SP and must additionally contain an azo coupler and an antioxidant.
