Lead-acid cell for high power accumulators

The lead alloy of the plate supports, on which the active material plaste is pressel contain, essentially Te, and Ag instead of Sb. The lead used has a chemical purity of 99.9-99.95%. Other than its naturally included impurities, it has a maximum Sb content of 0.001% and together not more than 0.004%. Additives of Te, Ag, and As are included as well. AS well as the plate supports, this alloy may be used for other current carrying parts of the cells. The alloy has superior electrical performance and mechanical strength at the same time.
