The inter carrier television receiver, with shared video and audio IF amplifier, allows fine detailed adjustment to the picture without affecting sound quality. The audio FM demodulator (4) can be tuned by hand so that its demodulation characteristics shift along the frequency axis. - The FM demodulator has a varactor tuning diode in its secondary circuit. This diode is biased from a variable potentiometer accessible on the outside of the receiver. The audio IF amplifier preceding the demodulator has a bandwidth of 800 kHz. The demodulator output passes through a voltage stabiliser to the tuner.
