Compression anchor with a tension component, which is surrounded in the region of its force feed-in length by reinforcing steel rods, which are interconnected with holding rings and can be spread outwards against the bore hole wall. The free ends of the reinforcing rods point towards the bottom of the bore hole and lie against the outside of a conical casing fixed to the tension component. The tension component is introduced into the casing on setting it on the bore hole bottom and thus spreads the free ends of the reinforcing rods. The conical casing has a tube pointing to the hole bottom and is fixed to the tension component foot by means of a shear pin.
