Sulphuric semi-esters of adragent gum from t - reating stomach ulcers and gastritis

Sulphuric semi-esters of adragant gum for treating stomach ulcers and gastritis. The title cpds. are prepd. by sulphating adragant gum and opt. transforming the mixture obtained into the pharmacologically acceptable salts, a suitable sulphating agent being chlorosulphonic acid in the presence of formamide or pyridine. The salts may be those of the alkali metals (esp. Na) or NH4+.
