The spring component for suspending items from a roof, comprises a stirrup of U-section containing a mounting portion with locking device, bonded together by means of a rubber body. The body has a recess between stirrup and mounting portion, the latter extending through a central opening in it. - The stirrup (4) is rectangular in plan view, as is the recess between stirrup and mounting portion (8), this recess extending for the whole width of the rubber body (6). The plate-shaped locking device (9) runs roughly parallel to the central wall sections of the stirrup.
