Adjoining the abutting faces of the identical metallic elements 6SP1/SP, 6SP11/SP are frusto-conical parts 7, 7SP1/SP which fit into the groove 9, and annular plates 6a, 6b fasten the elements 6SP1/SP, 6SP11/SP to insulating sleeves 12, 12SP1/SP which have flanges 24, 24SP1/SP clamped between the end walls 21, 21SP1/SP of the joint easing 22 and annular bushings 23, 23SP1/SP to connect the joint rigidly to the casing. Three pairs of screening elements, 15-15SP1/SP, 11-11SP1/SP, 14-14SP1/SP screen the insulating sleeves 12, 12SP1/SP, opposite sides of the ring 10 and the ends of the cables, respectively, the elements 15-15SP1/SP, 14-14SP1/SP being contained in respective sleeves 25, 20, with the elements 11-11SP1/SP being electrically connected to the ring 10 by springs (not shown) and to each other by metallic tape 17 and carbon paper 18 extending between seats 16, 16SP1/SP formed in the elements 11-11SP1/SP.
