Glycolurile derivatives as peroxide activa- - tors in detergents

Glycolurile derivs. of formula:- (where R1, R2, R3, R4 are H, opt. substd. aliphatic or aromatic, or acyl of formula -C(R)=O, where R is H, or 1-6C aromatic or aliphatic; R5 and R6 are H, l.alkyl or phenyl; at least one of R1-4 being acyl) esp. the di and tetra acetyl compounds, are used as activators for peroxides and per salts in detergents. The bleaching effect takes place at a lower temp. They are stable and do not require to be separately packed or encapsulated.
