Separator for particulates from gas streams - with prelimary cooling chamber before an expansion chamber

A filtration device, pref. for fine dust in gas streams, comprising a vertical, inner, refrigerated, pref. liquid nitrogen cooled, surface creating a volume contraction and velocity reduction in the contacting gas stream encouraging a preliminary precipitation of large dust particulates prior to entrance to an expansion (pref. at least 10 to 1) chamber fitted with a peripheral filter bathed in filtration fluid, pref. silicone oil, where the gas velocity is substantially reduced to effect an efficient removed of fine dust particles at the filter surface.
