1393795 Transfers OMNISCREEN BV 19 May 1972 [19 May 1971] 23756/72 Heading B6C In a set of transfer symbol assemblies for applying to a surface each assembly comprises a symbol cut from a foil, a carrier foil 4 for temporarily supporting the symbol and a cover foil 5 for temporarily covering the symbol, a side of the symbol remote from the cover foil being coated with adhesive. The cover foil has straight upper and lower parallel edges 7, 6 and a side of the cover foil facing the carrier foil is coated with adhesive by means of which the cover foil is removably adhered to the carrier foil and the symbol is removably adhered to the cover foil. The distance between the upper and lower edges is the same for all the cover foils. The symbols include lower case letters of the same basic height, all the letters being similarly positioned with respect to their associated cover foils relative to the upper and lower edges of the cover foils. The cover foil of each assembly has a portion not covering the symbol and extending from one of the said parallel edges thereof towards the other parallel edge over the entire extent of the cover foil in the direction parallel to said parallel edges for a distance at least equal to half the basic height of said letters.
