Aqueous urea solns. are concnd. to give anhydrous melts (1% H2O) by concentrating the soln. to a slurry contng. 70-98% urea (10-60% crystals), pref. at 50-120 degrees and 30-300 mm Hg. then further concentrating the slurry to give the required melt.
