Dyeing, foularding and printing of polyamide fibres by impregnation with a dye preparation containing 0.25-40 parts by weight of (I)/1000 parts dyebath, where A = 8-26C hydrocarbon, Y = O or S, alkylene and Z = CH2, CH2-CH2-, CH2-CH(CH3)- -CH(CH3)-CH2-, R1, R2 = H, 1-5C alkyl opt. cont. -SO3H or -COOH, or together are morpholino, piperidino or hexamethyleneimino, n = 1-21, and p = small whole number. The addition of (I) to the dyebath allows dyeing, esp. of wool, to be carried out at temperatures below 100 deg.C and more rapidly. The dyeings obtained are intense and even, with improved penetration of the films.
