A gyroscope has a housing contg. a rotor and shaft and angle pick-ups with a first part fixed to the rotor and a second part fixed to the housing. The pick-ups produce a signal corresp. to the relative positions of the gyroscope rotor and housing. - The output signals are produced without inducing faulty deviations or shifts of the rotor drive shaft and associated gyro drift or signal errors. A third pick-up part on the shaft produces the position signal w.r.t. a housing reference axis compensated for deflection errors.
