[Also in Divisions B5 and G2] A method of making a flexible laminate suitable for use as a projection screen comprises applying a first reflecting layer 16 of metal e.g. by vapour deposition to a surface of a first flexible layer 1a applying the free surface of the first reflecting layer to a surface of a second flexible sheet 2a, at least one of the sheets being transparent and embossing the laminate, on surface thereof occupied by a transparent flexible sheet by a former, the depth of the imprint of which is more than the combined thickness of the said transparent sheet and the first reflective layer. The counter-former may be flat to produce a grained laminate (Fig. 8) or engraved to produce a goffered laminate (Fig. 9). In a preferred embodiment a second reflecting layer 26 is applied to the surface of the second flexible sheet and the two reflecting layers adhered e.g. by interposed adhesive. The specified flexible sheet material is polyethylene terephthalate, the specified metal aluminium.
