Crimping synthetic fibres - using hot bath whose level is dropped or raised during stopping or starting of process

Synthetic fibres are crimped following wet spinning by passing the fibre rovings through a heated bath disposed between sets of stretching rollers and the level of the bath under which the fibre rovings are guided during the crimping process is lowered by closing or opening of the supply or outlet or controlling the volume of heated liquid discharged from the bath such that on starting the process the level of the liquid in the bath is disposed below the horizontally guided rovings whose overheating or local setting is prevented.
