Multifunctional compn. contains distilled water, alcohol, vegetable tanning agents, ethereal oils, amino acids, protamines, follicle hormone-like substances, and organic ingredients extracted from Portuguese oysters. Natural resins, detersive mineral substances and vitamin-contg. substances can be added. The prepn. causes tightening of cystine bridges in the keratin structure by hydration, whereby permanent waving of hair (or stretching) can be effected. The prepn. is active against dandruff and other skin ailments.
