Pesticides are used together with additives which promotes decompsn. by coupling with reactive materials which, by chemical reaction, lead to cpds. less toxic to warm-blooded animals. Pref. the additive is itself a pesticide. Application may be by first spraying the pesticide and then the additive, or by adsorbing the additive on a porous adsorbent or incorporating it into a plastisol or by micro-encapsulating it and applying it together with the pesticide.
