Position servo control of identical hydraulic motor drives - with coupled strain gauges and rotary field transmitter receiver controlled by tachogenerator loop

An electro-hydraulic servo control system provides closed loop position control of two hydraulic motors. A joystick type lever has strain gauges to measure the coordinate position (X, Y). Each signal is fed to a closed loop system (23, 20, 21, 22) for control of a rotary field transmitter (24). The amplifier (20) controls the transmitter actuator (21) with a tachogenerator (22) to close the loop. The transmitter is coupled to a rotary field receiver (25) controlling a servo-valve (27), to regulate the supply to the hydraulic motor (50). When the transmitter and receiver states are the same, the motor is at standstill. Two identical arrangements are provided.
