Washing endless material - in a continuous washing appliance suitable for strands and widths of textile material

Continuous washing appts. for the liquid treatment of strands and widths of textile material features a vertical passage with fluid-feeding mechanisms at its mouth and with nozzle-shaped constrictions over its length. At its outlet side the passage has a vessel for the liquid contg. a rotatable screen drum through which fluid passes from the outside and over which the material is partially wound. The drum has a pump, the pressure side of which is connected by e.g. a pipe, with the fluid-feeding mechanisms. After treatment, the material is passed to a press. The arrangement is suitable for the continuous washing of strands or widths of materials and combines the advantages of the J-shaped washing unit with those of the screen drum washer.
