Saturated steam from the water cooled reactor heat exchanger passes to the organic reactor heat exchanger where it is raised to superheat conditins. Fuel from the water cooled reactor is transferred to the organic reactor after partial burn-up. The theoretical advantage of the concept lie in lower turbine costs with improved operational performance, lower fuel investment from the maximising of fuel burn-up, low construction costs of organic reactor ensuing from its lower operating pressure.
