Sandy or clayey floors are solidified with excellent resistance to water and frost, by injecting into the floor 5-50% pref. 5-20% of an aq. soln. of a mixt. of 90-99% of a (meth)acrylamide and a (bis-acrylamido)-N,N'-alkyledene glycol product CH2=CR-CO-NH-CH(OH)-CH(OH)-NH-CO-CR=CH2, where R is H or CH3. Polymsn. is catalysed by a free radical donor, pref. (NH4)2S2O8, a free radical promoter, pref. NaHSO3 and a polymerisation rate regulator, pref. K3Fe(CN)6.
