Freeze drying - with surface freezing and vapour sublimation - in one revolving vessel

A process for freeze drying liquid products consists of surface freezing and dehydration of the products in succession in a single revolving chamber. The revolving drum is pref. externally cooled and warmed, e.g. by partly immersing it in a liquid bath, opt. with the use of radiant heaters for warming it. The process is esp. advantageous for handling sterile products.
