Crushing and leaching copper sulphide ores and concentrates - - using a ball mill and an oxidizing acid leaching treatment

The res or concentrates composed of a mixture of sulphide Cu-Fe-, Cu-As-, and Cu-Sb ores and to which is pref. added quartz sand, are crushed by impact using a ball mill so that lattice distortions and/or lattice defects are produced in the ore. The crushed ore is then treated in an oxidising acid leaching solution. A gaseous oxidising medium is used at a press.
