The carpet sales display stand (1) is provided with two trapezoidal side walls (2) wherein the rear narrow part (5) of each side wall (2) is angled slightly inwards and the front wide parts (3) run parallel to each other. Both the parallel sections (3) and the angled sections (4) of the side walls (2) together with the rear wall (8) are provided with full-length screw holes (12) so that any number of stands can be connected up to form a unit. Several carpet racks (5) are mounted horizontal one above the other in stepped formation and have lugs (6) which fit into corresponding holes provided in the side walls. The stands can thereby be set up in various arrangements e.g. in a row, back to back in pairs, or in a convex half circle.
