Blue or turquoise non-vattable dye for H2O-swellable cellulosic fibres opt. mixed with synthetic fibres, are of formula:- where both R's are jointly where X is benzyl, cyclohexyl or 6-20C alkyl, or both are the same selected from alpha-naphthylthio or phenylthio opt. substd. with 1-3 of F, Cl, Br, NO2, R1, R2, OR1, OR2, COOR1, CON(R1)2, CONR2R2, NHCOR1, NHCOR2, SO2R1, SO2R2, SO2N(R1)2, or SO2NR1R2 where R1 is 1-8C alkyl, the radicals contng. a max. of 12 alkyl C atoms, and R2 is phenyl opt. substd. with 1-2 of 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, NO2 or Cl. The uniformly dyed fibres are fast to washing, dry-cleaning and cracking, and have a reflectance colour value (S') of =2 after one thorough scour in aq. detergent at 90-100 degrees C. and one thorough scour in perchloroethylene at 50 degrees C.
