High mol. linear polyesteramides contain the structural elements (a) and (c) or where Y is R is alkylene, 1-4-cyclohexylene R' is alkylene; R" is -O-(--(CH2-CH2-O)z---) or --O-(--(CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-O)z--)--, -O-R'"-O-, where R'" and R"" are alkylene or 1,4-cyclohexylene, and RV is (cyclo) alkylene, or arylene, x, y, z and n are 5-10, 4-10, 1-250 and 1-50, respectively. (a), (b) and (c) may be present in amts. of 1-98 mol.% each to add up to 100 mol % products are prepd. by melt-condensn. of reactants have lower tendency to crystall., good transparency and high gloss.
