The stainless steel comprises 0.06 wt. % C, 1 wt. % Si, 2 wt. % Mn, 8 wt. % Ni, 20-35% Cr, 1-5% Mo, 0.3-1.5% Nb, balance Fe and usual impurities. Has superior corrosion resistance in seawater i.e. an environment contng. chloride ions.
