Cathodic corrosion protection anode - consisting of steel tube with graphite core

Anode for the cathodic corrosion protection of buried steel consists of an outer tubular steel sleeve surrounding a core made from a material, which is stable to chemical and electro chemical attack. Core consists of plastic binder bonded graphite or magnetite. The outer steel cylinder gives mechanical strength to the electrode permitting its hammering into the ground, the chemically stable graphite being exposed after corrosion of the steel tube.
