Mould with four mandrels/inflation nozzles where two of the mandrels can traverse sideways, for blow moulding from a single parison two hollow vessels each having a filling hole and a vent. Usually the mandrels which form a filling orifice traverse in the mould. Allows use of a smaller dia. initial parison and greater degree of subsequent parison expansion and/or orifice sepn. than prior designs with immobile mandrels. The parison wall thickness can be reduced and less powerful trimming devices are required.
