A planetary gear drive system is used with a planet wheel following an eccentric path round the sum wheel, and an adjustable stud riding in a radial groove on the output shaft to give variable settings. The purpose is to transfer the loom drive to the shed unit, but to hold the shed components virtually motionless on weft insertion.
