Seeds are pelleted with a mineral-contg. coating mass, the mineral content of which is wholly or partially replaced by burnt clay, silt or sand, which can also contain C, or their mixts. Partic. prefd. are burnt montmorillonite or bentonite clays and/or brick dust, which pref. constitute 50 wt.% of the coating mass. The germination, speed of emergence, growth and pelleatability of the seeds are improved.
