The trousers have two front panels separated by a fly vent and corresponding rows of teeth of two sliding clasp fasteners are secured to respective edges of the vent. One fastener is used when the trousers have one face outwardly and the other fastener is used when the trousers are turned inside out. Pref. flaps extending beneath the crutch are secured to respective edges of the front panels adjacent the fly vent the flaps being folded inwardly to form a tongue along the edge of which one of the rows of teeth of one of the fasteners is secured. The corresponding rows of teeth of the fasteners are secured to respective edges of the front panels, and the novel fastening arranged.
