1302564 Storing lymphocyte BAXTER LABORATORIES Inc 8 April 1970 [10 April 1969] 16642/70 Heading A2D A method of prolonging the viability of lymphocytes which have been separated from blood comprises mixing the separated lymphocytes with a liquid extract of the seeds of Trigonella foerium graecum (Eenugreek). The seeds may be extracted with normal phsiological saline, a lower ketone or a lower aliphatic alcohol. Preferably the liquid extract is added to defibrinated whole blood from which a leukocyte-rich supernatant is then recovered. The supernatant is then filtered to remove granulocytes and a lymphocyte-rich concentrate is collected in a nutrient tissue culture medium.
