Appts for mixing (I), e.g. a solid or gas with a liq. (II) comprises a motor-driven centrifugal rotor, with a feed line for (I) leading coaxially into/onto the rotor, a tank contg (II) and a recycling device conducting a portion of (II) out of the tank and allowing it to mix with (I) as (I) reaches the centre of the rotor. A disperser ensures that the mixt. leaving the rotor is thoroughly dispersed in the main body of liq. in the tank.
