Tube/bar drawing plant - esp for quartz using larger diameter blanks

Tow heads each based on differential gear trains are used with an intervening heating zone one head being used for feedng the blank and the second for drawing. The crosspiece of each drive is a hollow shaft within which the tube/rod is guided. The shafts of the planet wheels, fixed in the crosspiece, each carry freely rotating spring-loaded levers on whose ends rollers are mounted on shafts connected kinematically with the planet wheels. These rollers are used for axial feed and for continuous rotation of the tube/bar so that it does not bend under its own weight in the hot zone. Improved quality from the point of view of uniformity due to prevention of distortion from bending.
